Q. Where can I buy tickets?
A. Tickets can be purchased through this website by clicking on the “Book Now” link at the top of each page.
Q. What kind of concession cards do you accept?
A. We accept pension and senior cards
Q. Am I able to get a refund or transfer purchased tickets?
A. Please refer to our refund policy.
Q. Do you have gift cards available?
A. Yes. Gift Cards can be purchased by clicking on “Book Now” and choose the option for gift cards there.
Accessibility
Q. Are there wheelchair facilities?
A. Unfortunately, the heritage carriages we have running are not suitable for the necessary adjustments to allow access to wheelchairs. We are aware of this issue and have been working on plans with another carriage to resolve this.
Q. Are there toilets available on the train?
A. Our Dinner train, in the Lander carriages, does have bathroom facilities. Unfortunately, our heritage wooden set of carriages do not, however there are bathroom facilities available at our Swanbank station.
Q. Do I start and finish at Swanbank station?
A. Yes, all trains start and finish at Swanbank Station.
Q. Does my Carer need to pay?
A. We do accept companion cards.
Q. Can I Charter QPSR?
A. QPSR is available for filming and limited Charter Hire, contact our booking office on (07)3103 0871.
Food and Drink
Q. Is there food available at Swanbank Station?
A. We normally have a food truck available on the day, and drinks are available for purchase in the Gift Shop.
Q. Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
A. There are vegetarian alternatives available on the Dinner train. If there are specific requirements please let us know before booking your ticket and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Q. Can we bring food onto the train?
A. It is permissable to bring on a snack and a drink, but please be respectful of the heritage carriage seats.
Trips
Q. How often does Queensland Pioneer Steam Railway run?
A. We aim to operate public services 3 times a month between April and December and once a month from January to March.
Q. What age do you cater to?
A. All of our trips can be enjoyed by people of all ages,
The longer trip on the Heritage Circuit may appeal more to families with older children.

A. Unfortunately no as the heritage carriages are not suitable for animals. If you have an assistance animal, please contact the booking office for further details.
